HOME / KS Certification / KS Certification Procedures If a company applies KS Mark Certification to a certification institute, the certification institute inspects a factory with the designated deliberation institute by professional fields and tests products. The institute delivers a certificate to the company passing this procedure after deliberation of certification committee. For post-management of KS Mark products, whether a KS Mark certified person observes all provisions of the Industrial Standardization Act and keeps the level of certification requirements at the time of KS Mark certification is deliberated regularly every 5 years. If a company fails to conform to standards, the institute cancels the certification, suspends use of Mark, and gives an improvement order. If a factory wishes to keep the KS certification, it shall be inspected by the certification institute every 5 years regularly. Unless it is inspected regularly, its KS Mark certification will be cancelled. In addition to regular post-management, if consumer protection agencies are requested or numbers of consumer are damaged moderately or seriously due to deterioration of the quality of KS Mark products, the certification institute performs the quality test of the KS Mark product and can cancel the certification or take administrative measures such as suspending use of Mark or giving an improvement order when a factory fails to conform to standards. The post-management of KS Mark is required for consumers to use the products stably and be reliable by maintaining the quality of KS Mark products continuously.
